Free Baby Shower Games
There are lots of free baby shower games that are cute and fun to play. Get creative, or try some of these ideas. Budget baby showers are all the rage and free baby shower games are always a good way to save money and still share some smiles.
COTTON BALL BABY SHOWER GAME
Get two large bowls and fill one up with cotton balls. The player is blind folded and tries with a heavy metal spoon or ladle to try and get as many cotton balls from one bowl to the other. It's actually very hard because all you feel is the weight of the spoon! The attendee who gets the most cotton balls into the other bowl wins.
BABY STUFF SEARCH BABY SHOWER GAME
Buy some small baby items, pacifier, spoon, wipes, cotton balls, etc. Put them all in a bag and let each guest feel inside the bag. They have 30 seconds to identify as many items as possible and write them down. The winner is the one who gets the most right.
THE PRICE IS RIGHT BABY SHOWER GAME
Take all of the items used in the baby stuff search (above) and ask each guest to guess the price. The person who gets closest on all of the items wins. Then give all of the baby products to the guest of honor.
THE PREGNANCY WALK BABY SHOWER GAME
Tell each guest they will soon know how it feels to be a pregnant woman who needs a restroom...BADLY. Have each player, in turn, put a penny between her knees. She then tries to walk up to a large bottle with a relatively small neck and drop the penny into the bottle. Each guest gets one try. If no guest drops the penny in the bottle, then go another round. The person who successfully drops the penny into the bottle wins. If more than one person wins, give out multiple small prizes. This game is hilarious and should get a good laugh. It's a great ice breaker for guests who may not know each other.
WHAT WILL BABY LOOK LIKE? BABY SHOWER GAME Have each guest put a paper plate on their head and draw a picture of the baby to be. They can guess if it will be a boy or girl and draw accordingly. Needless to say, the pictures come out pretty funny. Then give them to the Mom-to-be for the baby book.
REMEMBER WHEN BABY SHOWER GAME
This is a great activity for the guests as the mother-to-be opens her gifts. The object of the game is to have guests guess the age of the mommy-to-be in each photo. Before the shower, select around 12 photos of the mommy-to-be at various ages (newborn through age 18). Number each photo and put it in a frame. Print out a sheet for each guest with the numbers and a clue as to how old the mommy-to-be is in each picture. The number on the frame should correlate with the number on the sheet. (i.e. picture 1 is #1 on the sheet.) The sheets for the guests will look similar to this (do not list the ages for the guests):
1. Baby is just learning to sit up. (Age = 6 months)
2. The "terrible"___. (Age = 2 yrs)
3. Graduated high school. (Age = 18 years)
4. Baby is learning to walk. (Age = 1 year)
5. Soon starting kindergarten (Age = 5 years)
6. Baby is starting to crawl. (Age = 9 months)
7. Baby's first smile. (Age = 2 months)
8. Ready to drive. (Age = 16)
9. Rolling over. (Age = 4 months)
10. Walking and Talking (Age = 18 months)
11. The start of the "awkward" years (Age = 13 years)
12. Newbie (Age = 1 week) Give each guest a sheet and pass the photos around as the mommy-to-be opens her gifts. Have the guests guess the mommy-to-be's age in each photo and write it down on the sheet. When all the gifts had been opened, review each photo and the correct age. The guest with the most correct answers wins the game and a prize.
